- Fact 1 - The American Football game
is played by two opposing teams of eleven
- Fact 2 - Play is focussed on moving
the ball across the opponent's goal line, thereby scoring a
touchdown which is worth six points
- Fact 3 - The NFL (National Football
League) is the world's most popular professional football league
based in the United States
- Fact 4 - The AFL is an acronym for
either the Arena Football League or the American Football League
where football is played indoors on a smaller field.
- Fact 5 - The Field: The playing
field is 100 yards long and has stripes running across the field
at five-yard intervals. On each end of the playing field is an
end zone which extends ten yards. The total field is 120
yards long and 160 feet wide.
- Fact 6 - The Objective: The
objective of the game is to outscore opponents by advancing the
football into their endzone for as many touchdowns as possible
while holding them to as few touchdowns as possible. The object
of the game is to score more points than the opponent during the
alloted time
