Pablo Picasso was trained as an artist in Spain, but moved to Paris in 1900 where he spent much of his life. Known for Developing cubism together with French artist Georges Braque. He adopted primarily colored  palettes leading to his Blue Period and his Rose, or Circus Period.

His work was categorised as various periods when he adopted various styles:

Pablo Picasso Styles
The great artist experimented with new and innovative ideas such as Cubism, with Georges Braque,  where objects were represented by cubes, cones, and cylinders. He also experimented with Surrealism which was a dream-like style where subjects are place in unusual positions, side by side, especially for comparison or contrast, called  juxtapositions.
